An olive grove is a planting of olive trees. Traditional groves have widely spaced, often very old trees. Modern plantations set the trees close together in rows so that machines can harvest them.
Looking after a grove is work all year round: pruning in winter, blossom in spring, harvest in autumn. Our Ölich Olive Oil comes from a family that has tended olive groves in Edremit since 1785. The harvest is done by hand.
