The olive tree, botanically Olea europaea, belongs to the olive family. It is evergreen, grows slowly and bears narrow, silvery green leaves. It has been cultivated around the Mediterranean for thousands of years and shapes entire landscapes there.
We use two things from the olive tree: the fruit and the leaf. Our Ölich Olive Oil is made from the olives, our Olive Leaf Tea from the leaves. Both come from Edremit on the Turkish Aegean.
