Würzig frische Bruschetta - Ölich

Spicy Fresh Bruschetta

There is nothing better than a good, fresh and spicy bruschetta as an appetizer. It's one of the classic things you can order at an Italian restaurant and now you're going to love it because you can make it at home anytime!

Ingredients

For the tomatoes

4 Tbsp. Ölich olive oil

2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced

4 large tomatoes, diced

1/4 c. Thinly sliced basil

2 Tbsp. Balsamic

1 tsp. Ölich Aegean sea salt

Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes

For the bread

1 large baguette, cut ¼" thick on the bias

brush with the Ölich olive oil

2 Garlic cloves, halved

    Prepare marinated tomatoes: Heat in a medium skillet over medium heat until oily. Add garlic and cook until slightly golden, 2 to 4 minutes, then remove from heat and cool.

    In a large bowl, toss together tomatoes, basil, vinegar, salt, and red pepper flakes. Then add the garlic and oil from the pan and throw combine. Leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

    Meanwhile toast bread: Preheat oven to 200°C. Lightly coat bread with oily on both sides and place on a large baking sheet. Toast bread until golden, 10 to 15 minutes, turn halfway through. Let the bread cool for 5 minutes, then rub the bread tops with garlic cloves cut in half.

    Just before serving. Spoon tomatoes on bread!
